Now the only thing I'm stressing about is how soon can I move everything to Simple, to make it my main - and only - bank! Not only did they overdraft my account by almost $20K when trying to buy a house, they lost the closing check and couldn't meet any request to receive the check at an earlier time, even when I offered to pay for the more expensive checking. Choose a real bank. I'm throwing in the towel and will not be coming back. If someone else asks you to open a Simple Account â such as a real estate company, prospective employer, or someone you met online â it is likely an attempt at fraud. It isn't allowed for some reason, meaning that you will never speak to someone that can actually get anything done. I strongly disagree with their political opinions, but do not believe that a bank should be speaking on political topics that has nothing to do with banking. I had simple for two years and up until recent November 2020 they had excellent customer service.. In my case, it took a week or more to see the money appear in my account. I gave it a four star cause I don't like I have to wait a half an hour to be on hold to get customer service but today I was in hold for 30 minutes and then Victor in customer service was so calm and collected as I was frantic trying to figure out how the budgetting tools and available balance worked. Needless to say another half hour passed and nothing. Deposited funds take a while to be available. They don't realize that's it's nearly impossible to get memorandums signed by commanders instantly and that it has to go through a long process just to get to the commander. During the first 30 days as a Simple Bank customer… Simple Bank packs in one of the highest checking account yields we've seen. Just wanted to share with you guys that I paid off one entire credit card and my outstanding tuition at school, thanks to the Goals feature! My spending habits were terrible before I had Simple...and now it's actually fun to check my balance and goals. One star is one too many for these guys.
